Tring HC - Sarah Henshaw

Written by sue owen on 23 February 2019.

It is with great sadness that Tring Hockey Club heard the news that one of their ex players was tragically killed recently in what appears to be a case of domestic violence.

Clare Whitehead from Tring writes:-

"Sarah Henshaw played for Tring Ladies for many years and was a regular player in the L1 and L2 teams. It is an absolute truth to say that Sarah had a heart of gold and a smile that would warm even the coldest heart.  She played in the era with Lynn Buckley, Sarah Scriven, myself and many others. Our club is still reeling from the shock news of her death.

Tring Ladies will observe a 1-minute silence before the start of their games this weekend

Apologies for having to send an email like this but I wanted you to be aware and also it would be great to think that somehow the ladies that join together every Saturday can be a network for anyone else suffering any form of domestic violence that generally goes unseen."

Im sure the 5 Counties Hockey family will join me in offering our deepest sympathies
